We are renting a single family home from TMG for more than $2,000 a month. It's a nice house but it hasn't been maintained well.
When we moved in the house was not very clean. The laminate flooring looked waterstained throughout the first floor. After washing it with a proper cleaner, the floors looked good. Their cleaning service leaves a lot to be desired, and TMG will charge more than $600 when we leave to cover this lousy job of cleaning.
Not cool. There have been several maintenance issues that we have been waiting to see resolved for more than 2 months. We are unable to use the fireplace, due to repairs yet to be done; the dishwasher has a rusty rack and a part that spins to distribute water that has not been working since we moved here in November; the circuit breaker keeps tripping for the range and microwave, when we use the microwave oven. The garage door opener wall button needs replacing.
There's a set of broken plantation shutters. And when we picked up the keys to the house the mail keys did not work in the mailbox. We were told we would need to pay the $40 to cover having new keys made by the post office. Shouldn't a management company provide keys that are in working order?
Two of the toilet seats were awful and disgusting and the thermostat was working improperly--both we changed out ourselves just to get them done without a hassle. We had to rent the house based on the photos provided online, as we were coming from out of state, so we never got to inspect the unit before moving in. It would be a nice place to live, if not for TMG's lack of managing repairs.
Really exhausted by the lack of responsiveness and all the time I've had to put into requesting repairs be made. They may have nice housing, but beware of their management downfalls and all the headaches that will result from this.
